maintenance

  • How do I clean the filter of my hoover?

The filters must be maintained regularly. If too much dust is trapped in the filter, the filter may become clogged and the performance of the appliance will be affected.
Your hoover is equipped with two motor protection filters and a dust collector filter.

These protective filters are generally located behind the dust compartment.
The pleated part (called the HEPA/EPA filter) cannot be washed. It can be cleaned by tapping it over a waste bin or brushing it.

It is normal for the filter to change colour, but this does not affect its effectiveness. If you wash it with water, be sure to let it air dry for at least 24 hours.
Note: without the filter, the appliance has no suction capacity.

troubleshooting

  • My hoover runs for a few minutes and then shuts off for no reason?

This may be a problem of engine overheating. If the filters are clogged, or if the dust pan is full, the motor has to "work" more to maintain suction power. It therefore heats up much faster, which causes it to shut down, i.e. the power is automatically cut off to protect the motor.
The solution is to clean the filters, empty the bag or container, and let the hoover cool down for a few minutes.

  • My hoover is losing power, what can I do?

Your hoover has several filters that need to be cleaned regularly for a better efficiency and lifetime:

the HEPA filter: to be replaced if it is disposable ; to be cleaned otherwise.
All you have to do is remove the dust by tapping it. If necessary, wash it with lukewarm water and let it dry well before putting it back in place.

use

  • When should I empty my hoover bag?

When the tank level indicator turns red or there is a loss of power, it is time to empty the dust bag or replace it with a new one.
