troubleshooting

  • The blade of my turbine does not turn until the end of the cycle.

This operation is normal, it is possible that the blades may stop if the ice is set before the end of the cycle. An average cycle takes 35-40 minutes. Otherwise, it is a problem with the engine block and must be replaced.

  • How to avoid hard ice?

The final texture of the ice cream depends on the ingredients used. A chocolate ice cream will be harder than a vanilla ice cream. To avoid this we advise you to take the ice cream out 5 to 10 minutes before tasting.

  • Preparation tips for ice turbines ?

Here are a few tips for preparing your ice cream.

    We advise you :

    - To put to turbinate a very cold preparation. (At least 6 hours in the refrigerator. This will amplify the aromas). This step also avoids that the ice cream is not or hardly set even after several cycles of turbining. This results in a creamier ice cream without crystals.

    - Turn the ice-cream maker on empty: first turn on your turbine and then pour your preparation. This prevents the preparation from freezing in the cold, which could prevent the blades from turning.

    - Fill the turbine tray half full: it is essential to fill the turbine half full in order to leave room for the preparation. The ice cream will double in volume.

    - Add an egg white to improve the smoothness: by adding 1 or 2 egg whites to your sorbets or ice cream just before the turbine, you will gain in smoothness because the egg white will add air to the preparation.

    - Cold chain: it is preferable to keep the container or the ice cream in the fridge during the preparation which will prevent the ice cream from melting during the operation.

    - Take the ice cream or sorbet out 15 minutes before serving: in order to have a smooth texture for serving and tasting.
