This is a normal event, and the static load is usually the cause.

The grinding mechanism is smothered or blocked. Unplug the appliance immediately and clean the mechanism as described in the section "Cleaning and care".

Due to their special shape, the beans can get stuck inside the grinding mechanism. Set the grinder to position 1 and unplug the appliance. Stir the grains with a spoon to release those stuck in the mechanism.

The coarse/ thin adjustment button allows you to adjust the grind to your liking with 16 grind settings :
1-3: Extra thin, ideal for espresso or Turkish coffee
4-7: Thin to medium, ideal for coffee from vending machines
8-16: Medium coarse to very coarse, ideal for pouring, French pressing or cold brewing.

NOTE: These are approximations given as a rough guide. Appropriate settings may vary according to personal preference.
To prevent the beans from getting stuck in the grinding mechanism and jamming the motor, always adjust the grinding level before placing the beans in the container. If the beans have already been placed in the container, the grinding level should only be changed when the motor is running.

To insert the bean container, align the side plastic notches with the holes in the grinder. Then turn the button 90° clockwise to lock it in place.
Once the bean container lid is removed, load the desired amount of beans inside. Then put the lid back on. The maximum capacity of the bean container is 400 grams (14 ounces).

Before using this appliance for the first time, the grinding mechanism, the grinding ring, the bean container and the collecting container must be thoroughly cleaned.
