maintenance

  • How to clean the appliance?

Once completely cooled, simply gently remove the trays and discard the contents.
Remove any leftover food from the trays using the scraper.
Clean the plates, drain trays and scraper in warm water with soap, rinse and allow to dry. These items can also be washed in an automatic dishwasher.
WARNING: Do not immerse the grill base in water or any other liquid and do not get it wet.
Wipe the top and base with a sponge soaked in water and dry with a soft cloth.
Store the unit in a cool, dry place.

  • How do I clean my pizza stone?

Never use dishwashing liquid to clean your stone. It can be cleaned and rinsed with water. With a clean sponge and a little water, wipe off any food and grease residues. Do not try to remove all traces of oil or grease: this is not necessary. Leaving a little oil on the stone actually helps to protect it, making it smooth and more resistant.

Do not soak your pizza stone in water for too long. A quick rinse is sufficient. If your pizza stone absorbs too much water when it's left to soak in the sink, it may crack the next time you use it.

Put the stone away. Place your stone in the oven for storage when you are finished cleaning it or store it in a large enough cupboard where it will not get in the way or fall out. You can put your stone in the oven even when you are cooking other dishes. Simply bake them over the stone. For heavier items, such as a roast, put the stone on the lower rack before you start cooking.

    Tips

If you decide not to store the stone in the oven after use, remember that it is fragile. Store it flat in a place where it cannot fall and break.

use

  • What are the precautions before first use?

When using the grill plates for the first time, spray or apply a thin layer of cooking oil to the non-stick surfaces of the plates. If necessary, reapply a thin layer of cooking oil for the lifespan of the plates to maintain the non-stick properties.

  • My machine overheats and my pizza burns.

During baking, if the user notices that the top is baking faster than the bottom, the slider should be set to position 1, allowing the pizza to continue baking without the indicator being lit.
It is then possible to open the oven door for a few minutes in order to monitor the end of the cooking process. It is important to monitor the cooking process as some pizzas may cook faster than others.
We recommend opening the oven door after 3 minutes to check for doneness.
If your pizza is cooking too quickly, simply turn down the temperature with the dial.

To prevent the bottom of the pizza from burning, preheat the oven on position 1. When the indicator light goes off, wait 2 minutes before placing the pizza on the stone.
For multiple cookings, wait a few minutes with the door open before starting a new cooking so that the device cools down.
