maintenance

  • How to properly clean the GRT60 machine?

After use, unplug the device and let it cool completely. Wash all removable parts with warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly. Never immerse the motor base. The ice canister must be emptied and cleaned after each use to avoid corrosion from salt residues.

Did the answer solve your problem?

    No
  • Can the machine parts go in the dishwasher?

No. All parts must be washed by hand using warm water and mild detergent. Dishwasher use is not recommended.

Did the answer solve your problem?

    No
  • Is cleaning required after each use?

Yes. Immediate cleaning is recommended, especially of the ice canister, to avoid corrosion from salt.

troubleshooting

  • Why is the slush not forming properly?

Ensure the mixture is cold enough. If it?s too warm or too sugary, slush may not form. Add more ice and salt if needed. Do not exceed the 1L max capacity. If the mix becomes too hard, more syrup may be required.

  • What to do if the motor stops suddenly?

The motor may be blocked by ice. Turn off the device, wait for some ice to melt, then restart.

  • Why does the lid lift during operation?

This usually happens when too much ice is added. Leave at least 3 cm between the ice and the rim of the canister.

use

  • How to use the GRT60 machine to make slush?

Mix 835 ml of water with 165 ml of syrup, or use a ready-made sugary beverage. Chill the mix for at least 2 hours in the fridge before use. Once the machine is assembled, fill the ice canister with ice, salt, and water, then pour the mixture into the syrup inlet. Slush will be ready in approximately 15 to 25 minutes.

Did the answer solve your problem?

    No
  • Can other liquids besides syrup be used in the GRT60 machine?

Yes, beverages with high sugar content such as fruit juices or sodas can be used. Low-sugar or thick liquids are not suitable.

Did the answer solve your problem?

    No
  • How long can the machine run continuously?

The machine should not be operated for more than 40 minutes continuously. Let it rest for at least 15 minutes before using it again.

Did the answer solve your problem?

    No
  • Is the operating noise normal?

    Yes.
The noise comes from the frost forming around the aluminum bowl and the blades rubbing against it. This is normal as long as the sound remains consistent.

Did the answer solve your problem?

    No
  • Is it normal for a layer of frost to appear in the center?

    Yes.
    This depends on:

-the quantity and type of ice cubes,

    -the amount of salt used,

-the mix composition (water, syrup, sugar...).

It does not affect the machine?s function.

  • The result is liquid, is that normal?

To ensure optimal operation and achieve a satisfying slushy texture, it is essential to follow a few key preparation steps.

Please note that this type of machine does not have an active cooling system. It operates solely through cold transfer, generated by the combination of ice cubes and coarse salt, which allows the mixture to freeze into a slush.

Unlike a compressor-equipped device, this model does not produce cold on its own. This means that all elements must already be very cold for the mixture to crystallize properly.

To obtain a good result, please make sure to follow these points:
The mixture (syrup or juice) should be placed in the refrigerator for several hours beforehand, ideally reaching a temperature of 6?°C or lower.

The metal compartment (if removable) should be placed in the freezer for at least one hour.

You must prepare a sufficient amount of ice cubes along with coarse salt, to help bring the temperature down to the level required for proper crystallization.

If any of these elements are even slightly at room temperature, the process will be slower or may not work at all. The mixture will become cold, but will not achieve the expected slushy texture.

We invite you to try again by carefully following these steps.
