It is imperative to carry out maintenance at the beginning of summer, just before the fan is used for the first time this year. It is simply a matter of properly cleaning each blade to remove all dust.

When the unit is unplugged, the protective grille must first be removed. Then wipe it with a cloth moistened with a little Marseille soap. When this is done, take another damp cloth to remove any traces of soap. For the other corners, you will need a long, thin feather duster.

The fan sends air into the room. The air is at the same temperature as the room temperature. It does not affect the thermometer at all, just the way it feels.

The fan creates a flow of air and does not lower the temperature. One solution is to place ice cubes in front of the fan. In this way the speed of the air flow will favour the evaporation of the cold water and act in a certain way like an air cooler (with lower efficiency).

In the same way, it is possible to place a damp towel in front of the fan. It should not be on the appliance, but on a chair in front of it, for example. For both of these ideas, it is necessary to use very cold water, otherwise the results will be disappointing and hardly noticeable.
